What is Valencia Culinary Meeting?

The week that runs between February 27 and March 5, Valencia gastronomy is long dressed to host the first edition of Valencia Culinary Meeting. Gastronomically, the private initiative and the public interest have given their hand in this contest, a unique meeting of chefs to talk about culinary in capital letters.

Twelve of the best local chefs in the Turia capital have invited as many national and international colleagues of renowned prestige, friends of previous stages, shared experiences in these and other latitudes. Companions of profession that coincide and add so that Valencians and tourists enjoy during a week of special and unique menus. An occasion to show how the local product and technique perfectly blend with the world-wide avant-garde, to show that Valencia's cuisine is world-class.


On different dates between February 27 and March 5, the chefs will elaborate menus of product and origin that bet on the local gastronomy and at the same time universal, that claim the global value of the good table. Seven days of delight where you can taste menus of product and origin. Empanadas, stews, state-of-the-art techniques, pairs or divergent bases, smoked, raw cuisine, memory kitchen, kitchen respectful with the product always, inherent in a sea and mountain without equal.

The delight will continue at the Mercado de Colón, where some of the participants will offer showcookings and open talks, bringing more if possible the good gastronomy to the public. This will complete a global gastronomic program, which will add to the World Food Capital by FAO that this 2017 boasts Valencia.


It is the first edition of Valencia Culinary Meeting, a meeting of chefs, a different way to bring high gastronomy to the Valencian public, the opportunity to combine knowledge and taste high local and universal gastronomy in company.
